Tree Pruning
There are many benefits to pruning and maintaining trees, not only from a safety point of view with dead wood removal and asset protection, but also aesthetically. After all trees cannot just get up and move or nip down to the local arboretum to get “fixed up”.
At Agility our trained arborist understands trees and will provide you with the best advice on how your tree will respond to pruning.
Did you know that it is illegal to prune a tree with “spikes on”?
At Agility we excel in completing difficult to access tall tree pruning without the aid of spikes or other intrusive forms of climbing which causes damage to your tree and opens it up to a number of pathogens including fungus.
We offer a wide range of pruning options that are non invasive to your tree and will promote good tree health. For example:
- Dead Wood Removal
- Property overhang
- Asset Protection
- Remedial Pruning
- Crown Thinning
- Crown Reduction
- Crown Cleaning
- Removal of Damaged, Torn or Snapped Limbs
Did you know that correct pruning cuts should be between the branch bark ridge and the collar?
Pruning cuts should always be between these two points. This will encourage the tree to heal quickly and be less likely to become effected by foreign cells like fungus and insect attack.
Flush cuts and long stubs are poor pruning techniques.
